Saint Leander of Seville (c. 534–600/601) was Archbishop of Seville and a holy hierarch who labored for the unity of the Church in Visigothic Spain. By his prayers, teaching, and steadfast faith, he converted King Reccared and many of the Visigoths from Arianism to the true confession of Orthodoxy. He also guided his younger brother, St. Isidore of Seville, in wisdom and learning.
He reposed in peace around 600/601, and the Church remembers him as a faithful shepherd and defender of the Orthodox faith. His feast is kept on February 27.
